You will probably notice that both features are pretty easy to use and handy. Just as you expect them to work anywhere else.

Status Updates

Here you can Add any status updates and your friends can connections can view, comment or even Like them if they want.

Inbox

The inbox feature was added to seperate messages from notifications. Now all your messages will head to your inbox, and only a brief notification will be sent to your notifications item to inform you that someone sent you a new message.
